Becoming a contributing PTSO member is a great way to support Vasquez High School. To put it bluntly, there is nothing like cold hard cash when you need to pay for something.  We do try as much as possible to draw on the generosity of our wonderful local merchants and businesspeople, and we look for any and all oppportunities to enhance the resources this school needs, but there are expenses that the PTSO is in a unique position to cover. Rest assured, all expenditures are made for the purpose of furthering the educational experience of VHS students.

In raising funds, we try to avoid cutting in on the fundraising of other school groups. We raise money primarily through membership dues, the Fall Carnival, and M&M Night. Click for a membership form.

How else can you help?
There are a number of ways to support VHS. While there is less opportunity to assist in individual classrooms than at the elementary schools (though it never hurts to ask a teacher if there is anything you can do), there are clubs and teams that benefit enormously from direct involvement or financial contribution.  Freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes all organize and raise funds for events, such as dances, and need plenty of volunteer help. The library and school office have an abundance of tasks and limited time and hands. If you would like to help out, contact the school office (269-0451) or a club or class advisor.  If you are yourself short of time but long on good intentions, come to a game. You'll have a great time cheering on the winning side, and the price of  admission goes to support the Associated Student Body (ASB).

It's Painless!
